Happy New Year from RetroChrome. Nothing like a good party to ring in 2013 or 1973 in this photo’s case.

People laughing. Letting lose. Not being a bit shy about being photographed with their hair down. There’s a nice bit of joy in this moment. The ladies in the background laughing at the men dancing on a dare to Vicki Lawrence’s “The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia” or “You’re So Vain” by Carly Simon. If your party doesn’t have a moment like this to capture, then by definition it isn’t a party.

So here’s to a new year full of moments of joy just like this or at least a few smiles here and there.
