Retrochrome

We’ve had a rather cold and snowy winter so far this year in North Carolina, so I want to share this slide with you from 1964. It’s a Snowcat from Timberline Lodge at Mount Hood. I wasn’t sure what this was on first glance, but I quick google search brought be to this page with some information on this snowcats decedents. I’m not much of an outdoorsman, or a skier, or a fan of the cold, but I’d love to catch a ride in one of these things. The new ones are probably more safe, warm and powerful, but I like this machine’s style or lack thereof.
